For regulating assessment test & appraising the student’s skills & ability, National Testing Services have the directive authority to do so. Higher Education Commission (HEC) is the directive body which supervises & conducts NAT1, NAT2 and GAT tests. For securing admissions in HEC recognized universities either public or private sectors and even in colleges; the certified government educational body which arranges the test for such admissions is NTS. Not only for getting admissions but these tests are also conducted for recruitment process in organizations & also for achieving merit based scholarships.
The following details will describe the conduction of NTS tests: firstly, NAT tests are held every month. Altogether 12 NAT tests are held in a year and most importantly test date for NAT is valid for 1 year period. National testing services (NAT) also conducts Graduate assessment tests (GAT). They are only for students who have completed their 16 years of education. The purpose of this test is to secure admissions in M.Phil. & avail HEC scholarship plans. you can log onto NTS website and get complete timetable if GAT general test. Another test conducted by NTS is GAT subject test for PHD students. The eligibility criteria for this test is that the candidate must be having a minimum of 18 years of education. And the candidates must have to qualify the other eligibility criteria of the universities too. The validity of this test if 2 years.
